In 1978 Edival started its first project, the first promotion of homes, of responsible housing for our customers.
A lot of things have changed since then. Things have evolved, grown and have become more professional. But the essence of Edival, a family company, with Valencian roots whose maxim is clarity, customer orientation, good conduct and commitment remains unchanged.
In the beginning and through to 1986 Edival only built subsidized housing in the region of Valencia.
From 1986 Edival started developing land for unsubsidized housing thereby increasing its business and the number of houses built per year.
During the years 1993 and 1994 the company disinvested in all the non-strategic sectors and in minority shares in development companies and channelled all its liquid assets obtained through sales to purchasing land for mid and long-term development. Along the same lines, the company started a process of professionalizing itself and took on multidisciplinary staff who were already trained and skilled.
In 1994, along with the professionalizing process of the company and the passing of the Town Planning Regulation Laws, Edival created a department for land management. From then on Edival started to develop its land management as a Town Planning agent. In this way the company could work both for itself and also for third parties depending on each case.
The figure of Edival as a Town Planning agent is one of the keys that has led to the growth of the company.
Edival currently has a land reserve of over 850,000 square metres for housing, which converts to more than 7000 houses that will be built in the mid and long term.
Geographical Expansion – Branches
In 1998 Edival started to expand geographically.
The Alicante branch was opened in that year.
In 1998 Edifica XXI S.A., was also created, a sister company with offices in Madrid created with 100% Edival capital.
This company was created to carry out the expansion of the company in the central region of the peninsula.
In 2000 the Murcia branch was opened and in 2001 the Castellon branch was opened.
